Jeremy James was born in Kenya in 1949 and spent most of his early life working with horses and cattle in Africa and the Middle East. He is author of several books, including Saddletramp, the story of his journey on horseback from Turkey to Wales, and Vagabond, which recounts riding through Eastern Europe during the collapse of communism. A contributor to various newspapers and magazines, he lived in Wales.
