Lee decorates his pots using the traditional Korean method of Punch'ŏng. White slip is applied to a dark stoneware body. Whilst it is still wet Lee uses his hands to spread it over the pot, using tools to incise the slip in expressive motions. Sometimes different coloured slips are flicked over the white surface, in a Jackson Pollack like way. A stiff bristled brush may be used to scratch into the semi dry surface of the pot.

Lee's work is in public collections worldwide, including the V&A and the British Museum in the UK.
