Masaaki Shibata was born in 1948 in Tokyo. He studied at Chup University, Tokyo and then was apprenticed to Kazutaka Ikuta in Tamba for 4 years. He has received many awards for his work over the intervening years and is now one of the most respected slipware potters in Japan.
We ship all over the world on a daily basis and make purpose-built boxes to protect your work in transit. Once the work is ready we will contact you to organise a convenient delivery date.
