Ginger studied at Kingston Art School and at Central School of Arts and Crafts. She contributed nineteen water colours to Recording Britain and, in 1943, she wrote and illustrated Alexander the Circus Pony for Puffin Picture Books. Her style was in the tradition of British topographical watercolours, pale washes overlaying meticulous detail. She had left London during the Second World War for Keynsham, and it has been suggested that her School Print is of Bristol, nearby.
