Barbara Rae PortraitBarbara Rae is a British abstract artist and current Royal Academician working from Edinburgh, where she studied from 1961 to 1965. Upon graduation, Rae earned a travel scholarship to go and paint in France and Spain. The experience, alongside a childhood and student days spent in the Highlands, greatly influenced her art, with many of her abstract pieces drawing on landscapes.
