We've had an amazing year here at Goldmark in Uppingham. It has been 50 years since Mike first opened the doors and he is still working as hard as ever. 2023 has seen major exhibitions by Paula Rego, Elisabeth Frink, Barbara Hepworth, Gordon House, John Allen, Frank Brangwyn, Jenny Grevatte, Henri Matisse and Henry Moore. Our new 'Meet the Artist' series has been enjoyed by many of you, featuring among others, gallery artists Christopher P Wood and Oliver Bancroft. We've had major exhibitions of ceramics by Akiko Hirai, Anne Mette Hjortshøj and Jim Malone and one of our films on driftwood assembler Sid Burnard was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award. Three of our potters were featured in The Guardian and we've been treated to fantastic concerts in the Goldmark Front Room by the likes of the Ligeti Quartet, Daoirí Farrell and Chris Wood. We've got a jam-packed 2024 so strap in and enjoy the show.
