Reverend Richard Coles in Conversation

Join us at 4 pm (uk) today for a chat between Mike Goldmark and national treasure Revd Richard Coles. Church of England priest in the quintessentially English village of Finedon, Northamptonshire, Coles is co-presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live and is regularly seen as a guest panelist on shows such as Would I Lie To You?, Have I Got News For You and QI.

Reverend Richard Coles

Born in March 1962, Richard Coles came to fame in the 1980s as the instrumentalist half of hit pop band The Communards before turning to a quieter life in the clergy. Often described as Britain’s most famous vicar, Richard was the inspiration for the main character in the BBC hit comedy Rev, a programme for which he also served as consultant. Coles was awarded an MA by research from the University of Leeds in 2005 for work on the Greek text of the Epistle to the Ephesians. He is also Chancellor of the University of Northampton.
