We are delighted to announce our current exhibition of pots by one of Japan's most celebrated potters, Ken Matsuzaki.
The exhibition features over 100 pots, including his exciting new toukaiseki vases, chosen from work made over the last two years at Matsuzaki's studio in Mashiko, Japan.
We will also be premiering our latest film documentary on Matsuzaki, in which he talks about his early influences, his time spent with National Living Treasure Tatsuzo Shimaoka and his place in the Japanese ceramic tradition.
Matsuzaki flew over from Japan to join us for the opening on Saturday 15th September. Everyone who visits the gallery will receive a complimentary 64 page monograph featuring essays and pictures of Matsuzaki in his studio and his latest work.
