Collection: Charlie Collier   1992 - present

Collier's interest in pottery began at college, deepened by visits to workshops and learning from makers such as Mike Dodd, Clive Bowen and Svend Bayer, drawing him toward the craft's sense of continuity within a long shared tradition.

An apprenticeship at Whichford Pottery in the Cotswolds gave him a strong technical foundation, while a home studio allowed him to explore reduction-fired stoneware and wood-firing, including anagama firings that shaped his understanding of kiln building and surface.

He makes pots for everyday use, seeing no real distinction between art and function. Informed by tradition but not bound by it, his work aims for clarity, honesty and vitality — allowing each pot to carry something of the maker's character while remaining open to the user.

EXHIBITION: Opens online Sunday 22nd March 12pm GMT
