Collection: Max Unold   1885 - 1964 

Max Unold (1885-1964) was a German painter, printmaker and writer. In 1906 he attended the private art school Moritz Heymann and from 1908 he studied at the art academy in Munich under Hugo von Habermann. In 1913 he was co-founder of the artist group ‘Münchener Neue Secession‘. As the last president of the group he had to witness the forced self-dissolution under the NS regime. From 1946 he was president of the Federal Association of Visual Artists in Munich.
