Collection: Michael Kenny
1941 - 1999
Michael Kenny was born in Liverpool in 1941, the son of an engineer and is best known as a sculptor. Kenny studied at Slade School of Fine Art and went on to teach at Goldsmiths College and Slade. He was awarded RA in 1986.
Throughout his life, his work addressed the isolation of the human condition, often expressed through the seated or reclining female figure, abstracted and depersonalised, touching landscape and geometry.
