Furukawa has had numerous exhibitions in London, New York and Japan since 1955 including at Osaka’s National Museum and Fukuoka Art Museum.
He is represented in the permanent collections of The National Museum of Art in Tokyo, The National Museum of Art in Kyoto, The Ohara Museum in Kurashiki and The Roland Gibson Art Museum in New Hampshire.
Furukawa is also the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation award. His lithographic Poetry Series was published by Curwen Gallery and printed in the Curwen Studio with Stanley Jones.
