The critics have been unstinting in their praise. UKVibe awarded the album a perfect five stars, calling it "music that feels suspended in time — hushed, luminous, and deeply affecting." The ECM Reviews blog described the duo as "a shared breath sustained across time, where every gesture carries even greater weight of intention." This is an evening for anyone who loves music played at the highest level, in a space where you can truly hear every whisper of it. Tickets are limited — book early to avoid disappointment.
Elina Duni and Rob Luft,

Great music from great musicians in the most intimate of spaces is what the Goldmark Front Room is all about. World class musicians, more used to playing concert halls than our tiny 60 seat auditorium, are coming to the gallery in Uppingham.
We have been privileged to witness some magical performances from the likes of Richard Thompson, June Tabor, Sam Lee, This Is The Kit, Martin Simpson and many more.
There will be the occasional short notice big name gig. Make sure you're on our mailing list.

On Saturday 10th October 2026 the Goldmark Front Room is delighted to welcome one of the most captivating partnerships in contemporary jazz — Albanian-Swiss vocalist Elina Duni and South London guitarist Rob Luft — for an intimate evening of music from their brand new ECM album Reaching for the Moon, released in April 2026. Stripping their collaboration down to its most essential form — voice and guitar — this third outing together feels intimate, nocturnal, and quietly daring. There could scarcely be a more perfect setting for it than the Front Room. Doors at 7pm.
Drawing on a remarkable range of languages and traditions — from a traditional piece from Kosovo to a Persian lullaby, an Italian ballad, Gabriel Fauré's art song Les Berceaux, and film music by Japanese and Polish composers — the duo weave a programme of extraordinary breadth. As Duni herself puts it, "different styles and different languages bridge the gap between people." Duni's resourcefulness as a singer is well-matched by Luft's instrumental skills, "one of the most exciting guitarists of our time". Luft, a Royal Academy graduate and winner of the UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2025 Instrumentalist of the Year, brings a rare sensitivity to every note.
