Dr Richard Davey is a Senior Research Fellow in Historical and Critical studies at Nottingham School of Art and Design. He is an internationally published author on contemporary art and artists. His catalogue essays include Anselm Kiefer, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Liorah Tchiprout and Bill Jacklin RA. He has also written books on Tess Jaray RA, Anthony Whishaw RA, Chris Orr RA and Leonard McComb RA. He was a judge for the 2016 John Moores Painting Prize and has curated exhibitions in Texas and San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice.
Jez Stewart is a curator of animation and the interim Collections Development Manager at the BFI National Archive. He joined the BFI in 2001, working extensively with the non-fiction and advertising collections, while developing his specialist interest in British animation history. He has given talks in Beijing, New York, across Europe and the UK, as well as to the staff at Disney, and written for a variety of publications. His 2021 book The Story of British Animation was the first comprehensive history of the subject to be published. He co-curated the Animation 2018 season at the BFI in London.
Francesca Peacock is an author and arts journalist based in London. She has written essays, features, and reviews for publications including The Telegraph, The Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Spectator, and Prospect. Her writing has led to appearances on podcasts and radio, including BBC R4’s Today programme and Front Row. Her first book, Pure Wit: The Revolutionary Life of Margaret Cavendish – a Spectator and History Today book of the year for 2023 – was published by Head of Zeus (UK) and Pegasus Books (US). Her second book, Authoress, is due to be published by Bloomsbury in Spring 2027.
