Sometimes the word 'gallery' simply isn't enough. Yes, it's the core of a business dedicated to the best in painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. But here the books turn into paintings, the paintings turn into films. Watch our short film to find out a bit more about us and what we do.
Nut Case, 2026

Sid Burnard was born in Brighton in 1948. Introduced to the art of beachcombing by his Romany grandmother, Sid learnt to appreciate the beauty of nature from an early age. His time at Bristol Guild of Applied Arts gave him a profound understanding of visual arts and crafts and allowed him to put his personal vision into practice.
He is now based in Borth near Aberystwyth in Wales, where the flotsam and jetsam from the nearby sea is his only source of materials. Working with found objects, nothing is changed - simply introduced to one another. His driftwood pieces, usually birds, boats or mythical beasts, are full of his passion, integrity and wonderful humour.

"29.8.24. Dear Sir/Madam.
Attached photo/words relate to one of your products found whilst beach-combing West Wales shores. Would you have any objection to it being used in an exhibition catalogue at some point?
Kind Regards,
Sid Burnard"
“30.8.24. Good day Sid,
Thank you for asking. Our marketing department said you are good to go.
Good luck.

Components: Wheel nut-measure (bird's head). Fragment of body. Bottle-top. Green ball. Spring.
Early 1980's. Heavy rush-hour traffic on spaghetti junction M6. Torrential rain. I'm driving a large van at 70 mph in the outside lane. Alongside an articulated lorry, something flies up...BANG! Windscreen shatters. Punch a hole so I can see where I'm heading. Glass shards in my face, mouth, hair. Hazard lights. Try to ease into the centre lane. No-one lets me in. (Imagine multiple pile-up.) Stay calm. It takes half a mile to reach the hard-shoulder. Emergency services. I notice a 'bullet-hole' in the screen just above the steeling wheel.
Windscreen replaced, continue journey. That afternoon, cleaning out broken glass, I find a sheered off wheel nut/bolt behind my driving seat. It went around, rather than through me. It weighs 8oz. I still use it as a paper-weight
