Sometimes the word 'gallery' simply isn't enough. Yes, it's the core of a business dedicated to the best in painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. But here the books turn into paintings, the paintings turn into films. Watch our short film to find out a bit more about us and what we do.
Race in Switzerland, 1930

Lill Tschudi (2nd September 1911 – 19th September 2004) was a Swiss artist, printmaker and illustrator.
She was a student of Claude Flight at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art. She was also studying at the Académie André Lhote, at the Académie Ranson with the teacher Gino Severini and at the Académie Moderne in Paris with the teacher Fernand Léger.
Lill made over 450 linocuts, 500 watercolour paintings and over 200 oil paintings. Her artwork were on exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the British Museum in London, the Graphische Sammlung of the ETH Zurich and various museums in Anglosaxon countries.
Signed and numbered original linocut, 1930
Printed in two colours, cobalt blue and red on oriental laid paper.
Number 17 from the edition of 50 - however not all of the edition was printed as it became too expensive for the Auto-Club Zurich, the proposed sponsor.
Annotated in the top right of the image ‘handprint’ - which refers to being hand printed by the artist.
Inspired by the motor car races which took place at the Klausen Pass in Switzerland in the 1920s and 1930s., where drivers had to negotiate a series of hairpin bends at altitude.
From the private collection of master printmaker James Collyer of JC Editions.
