Illustrator, lithographer and designer.
Born in London in 1917 and studied from 1931-9 at St Martin's and Central Schools of Art. During the war she was commissioned by 'The Recording Britain' scheme, funded by the Pilgrim Trust. Her work appeared in many popular publications, including the Radio Times, The Listener and Good Housekeeping. She also designed book jackets and illustrations for poems and novels. Her work was shown at several galleries including the Leicester and Whitechapel and is held by the V&A Museum, the British Council and the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff. She lived in London. An Imperial War Museum loan exhibition, 'War Fields', which included her work, was held at the Wolsey Art Gallery, Ipswich, in 2004.
